I am ecstatic to announce that at the gala event held this past Thursday, Oct. 9th at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Leslie Fine Interiors, Inc. was the proud recipient of two coveted Gold PRISM Awards from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston — one for BEST INTERIOR DESIGN OF A LIVING SPACE and the other for BEST KITCHEN DESIGN.
For the living room design, my clients requested a transitional space with undeniable modern appeal, clean lines, plenty of textures and a sophisticated color palette. My goal in this space was to feature the tall windows with an extraordinary window treatment featuring a magnificent aqua fabric. The unique basket-weave design at the top of the drapes creates an elegant statement.
Most of the fabrics featured in this living area are extremely durable, like the indoor/outdoor Holly Hunt fabric on the Dakota Jackson sofa. Easy to maintain, the furnishings in this space combine traditional style with a unique contemporary appeal.
Before I renovated this South End condo below, the kitchen space was very narrow and closed off from the rest of the home. By combining this space with an adjacent pantry and laundry room, I was able to shape a sleek, elegant kitchen with a seamless and functional design.
One of the biggest challenges I faced while working on this project was having to mask and design around the condo’s exposed ductwork and pipes. To provide a visually appealing solution, I designed the cabinetry, millwork and appliances around the kitchen’s new, open area. The end result was a completely renovated and con temporized space, and my clients love spending time in it!
I am honored to add these two 2014 PRISM Awards to the collection of awards I’ve received over the years.
